Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent. The Ash Wednesday Service invites us into the Season of Lent. It calls us to confess our sins, but it also reminds us of God’s gift of forgiveness and renewal. The imposition of ashes is a reminder that without the life of God in us we are but dust.
Fortunately, God can do amazing things with dust.
